Mental Health First Aid

Standard Mental Health First Aid Training - $150 only.

Highly stigmatised, mental health issues have always been a topic of grave concern but largely not addressed. It could be a friend, a student, a family member or your next-door neighbour even, who may need your help. Would you be able to tell?

As a community it is important we be mindful of people around us and stay calm and help accordingly when the need arises because providing mental health first aid is just as important as providing physical first aid to a patient.

Mental first aid teaches you how to tend to a person developing mental health issues or showing mental health crisis.

We, at Newlands Neighbourhood House are offering a 12-hour course at only $150 (normally $285). Funded by Moreland City Council, you will learn how to assist an adult who may be experiencing a mental health problem until professional help is received or the crisis resolves, using a practical, evidence-based action plan.

$150 for two full-day sessions

Wednesday on November 14 and 21 between 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.
