In the upcoming April School Holidays And Also Presents is proud to be working with Ramona Magazine, Code Like a Girl and her words to host two days for female and gender non-binary teens who want learn more about their body and periods with Ramona Magazine, develop some coding skills with an intro to HTML and CSS with Code like a Girl or join us for a Real Talk dinner hosted by her words.
Participants are welcome to join one or all events.

Ramona Presents: Period Witches

Harness
the power of your menstrual cycle for a more creative, productive, and self-love-filled existence.
Period
Witches helps you develop a deeper insight into the awesomeness of your menstrual cycle and how to harness different energy levels in harmony with your period. You will leave with new awareness and knowledge of your cycle, your own handmade self-care cards,
effective budgeting and organisational skills, typography skills, goal setting, and creative writing ideas. You will also take part in Pilates and mindfulness for different stages of your cycle.

Code Like a Girl Intro to CSS & HTML
~ Friday 12 April, 2.30 - 5.30pm ~
To
the untrained eye, code can look like something from the secret service. But in just two hours with Code Like a Girl, you’ll be creating your first HTML/CSS project and putting some new skills in your coding toolbox!
This
interactive and fun workshop aimed at girls and gender non-binary youth aged 13-15 and will cover the following:

What is the language of the web?

How do you create HTML documents (websites)?
~
What are HTML and CSS and what’s the difference anyway?!
~
How to style your new web page with CSS

Like a Girl is a social enterprise committed to liberating the talents of women and girls by providing them with the confidence, tools, knowledge and support to enter, and flourish, in the world of coding.

Real Talk: A Dinner for Teens
Real Talk: A Dinner for Teens
~ Friday 12 April, 6 -8pm ~
her words is hosting a fun and inspiring salon style dinner cooked by the talented chef Ella Mittas. Guests will listen to a live Q&A sharing real talk between her words founder Domini Marshall, chef Ella Mittas and another guest speaker (to be announced!) about their experiences growing up - what they struggled with, how they coped, moments to be remembered and important lessons learnt. Over great food, conversation and new friends, there'll be safe space to open up, ask questions and share stories.
Things to note:
~Enjoy a beautiful meal, drinks, live Q&A, and gift - all included in the ticket price
~This event is open to teen girls and non-binary youth aged between 14 to 18 yrs.
~Siteworks is accessible by wheelchair and has accessible, gender-neutral bathrooms.
