We are delighted to invite you to this year’s Refugee Week event, YOU WOULD TOO – a celebration of the resilience of refugees.
Presented by Moreland City Council and hosted by refugee advocate and author Abdi Aden, this free event will feature music from Iran and The Congo, Amnesty International’s Veronica Lopez, a screening of both the music video, The Big Exhale (produced by Kurdish artist Farhad Bandesh currently imprisoned in Manus Prison) and The Merger, a feature length film about an Australian rural town learning to embrace it’s new arrivals (with a Q and A with director Damien Callinan) as well as, delicious Sri Lankan food by the Tuka Tuka KothuRoti Man.
