The food on your plate can be transformative.
It can give you energy, it can delight, but it can also serve as a force for the betterment of many.
Food on your plate can transform the lives of the farmers by giving them a fair price for their labour. Reducing your carbon footprint by being local, it can support cleaner waterways, healthy, diverse pasture and soil by not using synthetic fertilisers, and by being grown in organic and regenerative farming systems. Food which is packed and delivered by people who are paid properly for the time.
There’s an end game in mind for our efforts – rejuvenate, re-localise, reintroduce food which is good for everyone – all the way from soil to farmer to delivery and plate.
The farmers and makers on the Collective receive 90 cents in the $1.
This is what respect looks like.
