Missing - Please Return!

‘Missing’ from a front garden on Jackson Parade.

This little brass wombat is an ornamental fitting for a garden tap. It lives on the tap in my back garden. There was a similar fitting in the form of a bird on the tap in the front garden of my house on Jackson Parade in North Coburg.

Last Friday night, at about 6.00, the bird fitting was ‘removed’ from the tap by someone passing by. Both ornaments once belonged in my grandmother’s garden, then my mother’s, so they are of great sentimental value. My grandchildren miss the little bird, and a precious continuity of things has been lost to us.

I do hope whoever took it away will read this, or the note I put on the tap, and understand our concern and return it to us.
