Up next in our series (which has been running via Zoom these days): join us THIS SATURDAY 2PM for some excellent insights into how we can really get democracy working (for us and our shared home, not for the fossil fuel industry!). Sue Dwyer (a long-time volunteer with Climate for Change) has taken up her pen (or keyboard) and picked up her phone many times to ensure her MP knows what's important to her, and she's mentored and supported others to do the same. She has some great stories to tell of the power of this kind of engagement as well as practical tips to get you started.
This is also a great chance to connect with others and maybe even form a letter-writing group (which makes things more fun).
All welcome to this free zoom event. Register here:
(The Community Climate Action Series is a volunteer run local series of diverse events (held 2 Saturdays a month) allowing us to connect and respond to the climate and ecological crisis and act for climate justice. It is hosted by Newlands Parents for Climate Action and Neighbours United for Climate Action (NUCA) and is usually (in non-lockdown times) run out of the Newlands Neighbourhood House).
