Hi All,

It is with much joy that I write to you from a place further than 25kms from my home.

I would like to acknowledge that there are an amazing number of new member enquiries we continue to receive and welcome to my email list for those who are newbies to FoEC.

In the absence of organised planting events, FoEC'ers have been out there "exercising" hard - exercise does include weeding, maintenance activities and planting - all done in isolation from others and with social distance and hygiene rules being observed of course.

This Sunday we will be focused on maintenance at the Conga foods site (turn left at the end of the Kodak bridge (off Spectrum Way). This site is screaming out for removal of tree guards and there is also a little hand weeding work. 

We will look to kick off at 10.00AM, however we are currently restricted to groups of 10 so we will run a couple of "sittings" at 10AM and 11AM. The site is big enough that we may be able to run consecutive groups at either end of the site.

We will operate with our usual sign-in book - no QR code scanning set-ups or the like! Masks are mandatory of course and we will not be sharing equipment etc. No catering unfortunately so BYO anything you need in regards to food/drink. And sun smart please everyone - hats, sleeves, sunscreen and sunnies etc.

As we will be running "sittings" I will need RSVP's - no RSVP, no attendance please as we do not want to put ourselves in a position where we inadvertently are in violation of the existing COVID restrictions (and I do acknowledge if we did this the weekend after we could have a group of 50! Looking forward to December's event!!!). If interest is strong enough we could potentially look to set up some alternative work at a different site so please don't be scared to make a call-out on your availability and if you want to stay for the two hours you can also do this - your hard work will be greatly appreciated!

I look forward to a flood of replies - I will make a list of the attendees and advise those who have replied as to their allocated place on the day and if any location changes this will also be included. I will send this out late Friday or Saturday so please keep an eye on your emails if you do RSVP.
