Newlands Friends of the Forest 

It has been ages since we reached out to NCN. Throughout this time Newlands Friends of the Forest kept up our work  behind the scenes.  Now is an extraordinary time for forest protection across Vic with communities reaching out in so many ways to stop the State Government from logging one of our great assets. We would like to share with you a little of what is happening. Let us know if you would like to help out. 

There are now  

• Two blockades in beautiful forest which would welcome you (Snobbs Creek - just over an our away and Errinundara in East Gippsland) 
• Six court cases against VicForests (most of which could do with some extra funds) 
• Currently the Vic Government is hearing the Inquiry into Ecosystem Decline in Victoria is being heard and you can watch on line @ https://www.parliament.vic.gov.au/epc-lc/article/4454  (Do watch David Lyndenmayer 1.45pm and Friends of Leadbeaters possum 2.30 pm speak if you have a chance)
