Well, Winter is well and truly here! Waring Season is finishing up soon, and we've had so much fun staying warm and cosy with you in the houses 🏡
We're so excited to announce our new program - Guling/Poorneet, or Orchid & Tadpole Season! In the Wurundjeri seasons, Guling (July/August) is when the cold weather begins to ease, wattle and orchids start to bloom and those male koalas start looking for a mate. Poorneet (Sept/Oct) is tadpole season, so there is lots of rain but its getting warmer, yam daisies are flowering, and days and nights are of equal length 🌸
We've got a bunch of fun activities to help you through those wintery days, and stay connected even when it's chilly outside ❄️ Learn how to knit your own scarf with amazing knitter Martha, and be the envy of all your friends! Or, rug up and join us on our merri merri walk series, as we go bird watching with the incredible Anne McGregor from the Friends of the Merri Creek.
All Folk Fitness has a new WinterFit program for you to come and try - shake off the winter blues by moving your body in a range of fun and accessible exercise classes. This brand-new pilot program is an incredible opportunity to have access to up to 3 inclusive & personalised classes for the incredible price of only $45 per week!
MakeDo Playgroup is taking a little break this term, so Phia & family can go on an amazing trip around Australia, but Creative Kid Fit will be filling the gap. A fab creative movement class for 3-5 year olds, with casual tickets available - book in here 💃
And don't forget - we now have a membership program! Become a NECCHi Neighbour, and you'll get access to a whole bunch of perks, but most importantly - 10% off full priced programs AND all $5 programs are FREE! There's no better time to sign up and become a member, just make sure you do so before purchasing your tickets for the program so that you can take advantage of that sweet discount. Join up here - howdy Neighbour 🤠
