NEXT ALLYSHIP ACTION CIRCLE - Tuesday 26th September 2023 The Voice Referendum: a space for respectful, open discussion As part of Merri-bek Allyship Network, Sowing Sistas host quarterly Allyship Action Circles to facilitate a space for sharing and discussing anti-racism actions with a First Nations lens. Allyship Action Circles bring together people working in allyship to share: - what works, - what doesn't work/challenges, and - what you'd like to do. We'll delve into the power dynamics and nuances of anti-racism action centring First Nations voices while supporting and challenging each other to take action. This Circle creates a space to share, ask questions, unpack our thoughts and discuss the nuances of The Voice Referendum, acknowledging the work that needs to continue beyond the Referendum. Joining us for this circle will be special guest Liz Phillips, proud Yankunytjatjara woman, longtime Merri-bek resident and supporter of Sowing Sistas.
