WOW! We can’t really believe it, but we are launching our FINAL program of 2023! It’s cliche, but where has the time gone?! After an action packed year of programs, events, workshops, walks and creative pursuits, we're very excited to bring you this Buarth Gurru/Gunyang Program. Buarth Gurru (Grass Flowering) is a time where you'll notice warm & rainy days and kangaroo grasses flowering. Moving into Gunyang (Kangaroo Apple), the weather becomes more changeable and thunderstorms are common, plus kangaroo-apple fruit appears! These seasons herald the arrival of the dry season, with longer days and shorter nights ☀️ 🌾 Keep an eye out - what do you notice changing around you during this time? 🌾 We’ve got an action packed program for you - with some new friends and old favourites: SpringFit with All Folk Fitness is back to get you moving as the weather warms up. Join Indiana for a fun and personalised exercise class with like-minded folk - accessible, welcoming and tailored to your individual goals!🏋🏼♀️ Local parents Felicity and Marisa are running a 6-week Aware Parenting Course at Newlands - an approach to parenting which deeply values the emotional wellbeing of the child, as well as depth of connection within the family system. A beautiful opportunity to connect with other local parents and support one another! Artist Iaki Vallejo is bringing a gorgeous Slow Meditative Stitching workshop to our East Coburg house - each class is a sanctuary of creativity, guiding you to craft small masterpieces that fuse stitching, collage, and paper or photo embellishments 🖼 Finally, we’re excited to announce Let’s Eat! 🍽 A brand new monthly Open Lunch & Open Play afternoon at NECCHi Newlands. Come along and enjoy a feast cooked by wonderful volunteers, and enjoy beautiful fresh produce contributed by community members and local businesses. And never fear - our NECCHi Classics are all still here: Spanish Playgroup, Little Seeds Playgroup, Vinyasa Yoga and Kids Art Club! Plus - Phia is back from holiday and ready to party again with MakeDo Playgroup. There's so much more on offer for everyone so check out our website for the full list of offerings. 🚨 PSA: We really love putting together our program. BUT if you don't book in advance, it makes it really hard to know if activities can go ahead! This term, we have made the decision to cancel any program that doesn't meet minimum numbers, 1 week before the program commences. So, if there is something you'd love to attend, please book in advance! 🚨
