A personal message from Hannah(our Programs & Marketing Coordinator):

Hello everyone! As most of you will know by now, I’m finishing up with NECCHi on the 17th April because I’m moving to France (no I don’t speak French, but I’m learning!) 🇫🇷I’m so excited for this new adventure, but will really miss everyone at NECCHi, it’s been such a lovely place to work and I feel very lucky.A lot of you have asked if there will be a "going away" party, so after a chat with the team, we decided the best way to send me off was to throw a final Passata Party. I came up with the idea for Passata Party when I first moved to Melbourne in 2016, after hearing old stories of streets in Melbourne growing tomatoes, garlic and basil, and then joining together on one day to make sauce with everyone’s produce! Afterwards, all of the bottles made would be distributed back to each house on the street to use during the year. When I started at NECCHi back in August 2020, I suggested we could do something similar, and Passata Party was born.

It’s amazing that this will be our 4th year, and throwing a big tomato party feels like a very fitting way to celebrate and say goodbye to you all. I really hope to see you there and say ciao over a bowl of Nonna Rita’s delish pasta! If you can’t make it, don’t worry - there’s still time for a Brewlands cuppa.

À bientôt! & lots of love,

Hannah
