Local Bakery

Untitled-2

My little bakery has been serving bread for one year, and to celebrate that I would like to introduce you to this almond and coconut cake!
It's a luscious slice-like cake that would serve the whole family the entire weekend...(maybe)...
It's gluten free and contains eggs, butter, sugar, coconut and almonds. Look; I put a coconut and some almonds in the picture in case you didn't know what they were.
Oh, and; on top, a chocolate hazelnut ganache; that makes it over-the-top lush, but hey; we have something to celebrate!
I sell them for $10.
Ready when you need it on Saturday morning after 9, from the trusty bread cabinet at
56 Livingstone Street.

Hard Rubbish

Untitled-2

Don't you love autumn; the temperature softens, the mornings are crisp and the hard garbage is going out!

You might be interested in... diverting cardboard!

6 Spring St, Coburg has put a pile of flattened boxes out - now they've got damp they wouldn't be good for packing, but excellent for mulch

Also - we have a 2 seater and 2 single semi outdoor chairs to go out... A renovators dream, specially since the new dog had chewed on several of the cushions... I'll put them out on the weekend, but if you are interested call 0435875100 for a preview.

Goo Removal

Untitled-2

Hi everyone.
Last December I purchased an alternative to blu tack from Officeworks, "J. Burrows - adhesive tack"
All summer long it has been  travelling down the walls and doors and no domestic cleaning product will remove it.
It is leaving a stubborn sticky mark on everything that it comes into contact with.
The company responsible for the product are owned by Officeworks and have recalled it and have offered to pay for repairs.

I am looking for 2 quotations to have the goo removed and the walls repainted.
Anyone interested?

Electrician / Social Enterprise

Untitled-2

Hi Folks,
We are getting some work done in the office by GBE Electrical.
A social enterprise
GBE is a not-for-profit social enterprise. This means it is an organisation run for a social purpose, in this case to provide employment for apprentices from backgrounds under-represented in the electrical trade.
Instead of depending on funds from charity or government, GBE earns most of its income by providing electrical contracting services. And because it is not-for-profit all earnings are reinvested in the business and the community. No dividend is paid to owners or shareholders.
And they’re local!
Don’t ya love social Enterprise?

Friends of Edgars Creek

Untitled-2

Hi Friends and Members,

At last we are getting our hands dirty again!
Our first planting event is happening this Sunday, April 21st from 1 PM at the Kodak Bridge (access from Ronald Street).
We have some nice easy planting of grasses with an extension of the jute area completed last year and also stream bank shrubs.
The forecast is not great unfortunately with rain areas predicted to movve in in the later afternoon.
I say beat the rain! Come down early and join myself (and my little boys) and Rob. We will be on the creek from around 11.30 AM setting up and getting things sorted for the event as we normally do.
Don't forget that our calendar of events is complete for 2013 and is available on the website.
See you on the creek!

Kind regards,

David Pavone
President FoEC.
