Divide and Foster!

On Saturday, during the regular Meccarg activity, we will be propagating some ground covers - that's the divide bit. Sounds cool!

For these littlies to flourish plant fosterers are needed to nurture these and future seedlings. You get to watch them grow (it’s genuinely exciting) & diligently keep them watered until planting time. Then you get to plant them into the murnong patch!

Newbies will be linked with an experienced grower on a buddy system.

Meanwhile the ongoing tasks of Meccarg will continue: (1^st Saturday of the month site maintenance, activities, The Murnong Gathering) but if you can’t always make it to Meccarg activity you can still keep involved through the divide and foster program.

·         Propagation is a series of little steps

·         Garden experienced or not, it takes no special skills

·         All materials, training and support provided in spades!

·         Beginners most welcome. You don’t even have to do much…

If you’re up for the challenge there may be boxes needing fostering from this weekend.

Future plans include seed collecting and growing - grasses, murnong, bulbs and lillies.
