Friends of Edgars Creek

Untitled-2

Hello FoEC'ers and friends,

Another season of planting is behind us. FoEC people, I said this at the Christmas party and will say it again - You are Amazing!

We planted nearly 5000 plants this season over six planting events (and some additional Rob and Stephen led in-filling). Our vision for the creek is becoming a reality with some of our sites nearing 10 years of growth and maturity. the word legacy keeps popping up in our conversations...let's get to work on the next 10 years!

That work continues Sunday and we embark on the less glamorous side of the season with maintenance activities commencing - an equally important part of the revegetation process. It can be very energising too - lifting the bag of a young gum or releasing a full poa from its bag is something I really enjoy. Unfortunately the forecast is looking like we will have an event for the brave! Showers and 21 degrees. I hope it diesn't deter you from joining us and help us in the work of caring for our creek and the sites we have established.

See you on the creek!

David Pavone
President, FoEC.
