Hello FoEC'ers and Friends,
Well, winter has certainly landed this week. We will be undertaking a maintenance activity this month and we will do this in the usual FoEC 1-3PM time slot. There won't be an early start to this activity, unlike our planting events which tend to stretch out across the day.
We will be working on the west bank of the creek near the Ronald Street footbridge with a focus on the escarpment and the flat area below the escarpment. Forecast looks good with 15 degrees and partly cloudy. A little windy perhaps so think about the wind-chill factor; layers are always a good idea at this time of the year!
Please take care of your own catering needs and dress in sensible attire with sturdy shoes/boots - a thermos full of something warm sounds good.
And a note for your diaries that we have a National Tree Day event scheduled for July 30th; I'll confirm the time closer to the date. This will be at the Kodak bridge area and will be supported by Merri-bek Council.
See you on the creek!
Regards,
David.
