There is a Rally for Accessible Tram Stops on Sydney Road tomorrow (Saturday 17 June, 11am) @ open space on corner Wilson Avenue & Sydney Road, Brunswick (opposite the Barkly Square shopping centre & 3 minute walk from Jewell train station)
We want the accessible tram stops installed before the government closes the Upfield train line for level crossing removals in Brunswick.
There is time to install the accessible tram stops before the project begins because the line won't close until around two years time. Once the train line is closed, it will be closed for a lengthy period of time - around 18 months. As the train line is the only accessible public transport in the local area, we need the accessible tram stops before then.
